Cherokees and the Civil War

Carver School Road Library Branch – September 19 at 4 pm. What do you know about the Civil War? Did American Indians participate? Join us at the library to find out the answer to this question and other information about the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Nation and their involvement in the Civil War. As part of the program children will hear Cherokee legends, handle American Indian artifacts, and create a craft. Presented by WFU’s Museum of Anthropology.

Paper Quilt Messages

Lewisville Branch Library – September 29 at 3 pm. Quilts can share all kinds of messages! Learn how to make a paper quilt square–one for you and one for the library. Ages 5-11.

Friendship Quilt

Kernersville Branch Library – September 16 at 4:30 pm. Design your own collage quilt square for the Friendship Quilt, to be displayed through October. Ages 18 and under. Call 703-2930 to register.

Friendship Jewelry

Rural Hall Branch Library – September 19 at 4 pm. Create some fun jewelry to share with a friend. Ages 6-16. Call 703-2970 to register.
